HEADLINE / Product Development
Role: Creative Direction
I oversee HEADLINE's product collection, including graphic tees, accessories and gifts. We began in 2005, in a San Francisco apartment, with the idea of tees based on themes in the news. That soon evolved into "intelligently funny tees," featuring bold, irreverent designs inspired by politics, pop culture and history.
Since then, we've grown into a global brand, with millions in annual sales.

ABOVE: Some of the hit products that helped build HEADLINE in our early days include Da Vinci Rock Man, Squirrelzilla, Whiskey & Yoga, and Cold War Vet (aka "Smoking Space Chimp").

Hot Stuff, Coming Through
BELOW: Our first-ever t-shirt, back in 2005, showed George W. Bush in military fatigues, with the text "War: My Anti-Drug." (Like I said, it was 2005.) Since then, we've never shied from hot-button issues, like gun control, LGBTQ rights, and President #45 (sorry, can't quite remember his name). Here is a showcase of political products I designed in recent years. For more on these, click here.

Growth & Wholesale Expansion
Though HEADLINE began as a B2C brand, it has since built a large-scale wholesale business. Our products are carried globally, from Australia to Iceland. That includes major retailers, as well as boutiques and chains in almost every state. (Can't seem to crack Wyoming.)
